Mitchell Animal Rescue

We are in desperate need of foster homes for the dogs and cats we rescue from Mitchell's Animal shelter.  We have seen an increase in the number of dogs not being claimed by their owners.  Fostering is a necessary, but temporary situation for these dogs.  We have a  good placement record, but we have more dogs that need foster homes than we have homes for them.  If you can help us, please let us know.  Keep in mind the dogs in the shelter are strays so we don't have alot of information on them before we take them into foster care.  Alot is learned in the first couple hours they are in your home.  We do know that they will have their shots and they are not vicious dogs.  They might not get along with other dogs or cats, so they need proper introduction first.   Please help us help the dogs that need homes.   We understand if you do take a dog to foster and it just doesn't work out.  We can transfer to another foster home.

There is a female schnauzer mix,  a female golden retriever, and a female german shepherd puppy in the pound.    Call 605-996-3242.
